did you actually port and polish the head or did someone tell you that it has been done?

Porting and polishing a bigport is a waste of time, it will flow well over 180hp is standard form...

I think genie make some nice extractors for FWD 4age, they could be useful.

Was the head ported and polished or did it get a flow port.

Its there some power to be gained when the inlet air volume and exhaust volume is evened out a little.

Ive heard of sr20 making 9rwkw just be correcting the flow.

just get a bit of pipe attach the sensors, make up a bracket so its sits in one place. and attach the filter on one end and and the other to a rubber pipe that goes to the throttle body. The sensors and that can be a pain. Any exhaust place can make on up in no time, but most charge a fortune to do it.

Its pretty damn easy guys..
Purchased a pod filter, removed factory air box, then the pod filter just slides onto the end of the inlet pipe. Mine has an adjustable clamp around the base of the pod.. so tighten that up and your done.. mine makes crazy induction noises.. sounds damn close to a turbo spooling up between 3-4 1/2 grand, then you get the tvis kick in Wink

Can get pics if you need.. but it really should be easy

yeah its pretty easy..

dont know what sensors kahless is talking about--i'm with rabbit. just piss the airbox off (keep it spare just in case of epa trouble) and put the pod on.

i've actually relocated mine to that little place where the factory induction resonator (the octopus-looking plastic black box which does abs nothing except for reducing induction noise) used to sit. so now its just behind the bumper bar, and not even in the engine bay. cos theres no use of running a pod unless it can suck COLD air. i've seen heaps of ppl that just leave em in the engine bay-which can actually make the car run worse than in airbox form.

looks exactly like this setup here..

more on how i did it here:

My pod still remains in the same spot as the old box.. cept ive made a heat shield and am (thinking) about putting my cosworth vent over it.. im a little worried about rain going through the vent though and straight into the pod..
