He is the son of the frog that was my old avatar.

My idea is for someone to get someone to get any kind of idea and start a new that that doesn't drag on for 2 pages about what could be Rolling Eyes

ok well how does this sound?

Saturday May 8th, Willowbank Test & Tune Cruise

Meet at the Botanical Gardens at Mt Glorious or where ever that was about 12pm.(same place as last time). Go for a little drive somewhere. (someone from around there can work that out) Grab some afternoon tea from somewhere. Then head out to willowbank at about 3ish depending on where we are. Have lots of fun and settle some grudge matches Smile

What do you think?

P.S there is a big boostcruising sunny coast cruise on the 25th of May that i will be meeting up with, that would also be good fun Smile

this is a drag racing track so no licence required. need long sleeve shirt and long pants, helmet. It is $32 which admits two people, one of which is racing.

Zhyr: sure will!

sure a track day would be good, but it is more expensive and you need a licence. I will spectate that one Smile

Can we share/hire helmets at all? I cannot really justify the cost of buying a helmet for a couple of runs down the quarter.... actually if i wanna do some real track time it may be justified. Forgive my ignorance but can you wear a motobike helmet or are they different?

you dont need a good helmet.. just any type of helmet
any old motorbike helmet or whatever will do
they dont even need be full faced i dont beleive
even so, its not like they line 10 of you up at a time so im sure somoene would lend you one

yeah a motorbike helmet will do. I have a couple I think. real old and nothing special though Smile

yeah the licence for track racing is pretty cheap, but that would not be the reason i don't want to take my car out. It is just that I don't trust it going around corners, it is a corona you know Smile

How about we do a circuit day at QR next time? I will watch and take piccies Smile

jag7799: you said your car will be better for a circuit anyway, and we can do that next time. You will have bugs to sort out as well and as we all know, conversions never finish on time!

Come on guys get it together lol
Last year i went on a redlinegti.com cruise to wivenhoe dam it was a great day with plenty of parking and good locations for photos, etc
Some one take charge of this cruise and organise something in a new thread. Wivenhoe is in the same area as willowbank so it would mae it very easy to go from the dam to willowbank
and allinfo relating to willowbank can be found at
http://www.willowbank-raceway.com.au/
