ra40 parts.. and almost new motor Sun, 11 August 2002 06:46 Go to next message
G'day all,

hopefully in the next week or so i am going to pick up my sisters car... a ra40. there are a few bits i want.. mainly the diff centre...

i'm after anyone who is interested in any parts...
it's a manual and has a near new (less than 20000km maybe much less) remanufactured 18rc... have all paper work... just have to check it out... these come with a three year/100000km warantee when purchased.
it will be out of warantee now... but the car was on the road for less than a year with the motor in it...

let me know... plus any offers...

Cheers
Stew

I am desperately after a console thingy that goes around the gear stick I need it preferably in black, in GC and in QLD (or able to get it to qld without breaking it in the post!)
The wreckers are useless and have had no luck with them so far!!! If anyone knows where I could look it would be appreciated!

Hi,

I'm after the front bumper and both left and right parking light lenses. Post up a price if you are willing to sell them. I'm in sydney so I can easily pick up one weekend.

Cheers
Edmon

Mate,

shouldn't be a drama....

i don't know the condition of them at the moment as i haven't seen the car for a while...(mind you it hasn't been driven either...)

Make an offer of what you think they are worth and we'll see...

G'day again.

Picked the car up today...
drove like a dream, it's a real pity to wreck it... the body has some serious rust...

the motor has 50 000km's on it... when fitted this motor had a 100 000km warantee (have documentation)...

looks like the gear box is gone... best box i have ever driven...

I have pretty much all parts...
plus a 21/4 in exhaust to suit a 28 or 23 or 40(i think)

also a set of 14x6in hotwire rims with gold centres and polished outers...

and struts complete with brakes and discs from a 28...

Cheers
Stew

Hi,

Not sure on what the trims are like... have been sprayed with vinyl spray... grey...
by the dash crash pad do you mean the top part of the dash? if so it has been recovered in grey and is in perfect cond.

i don't have a dig cam so no pics sorry.... will check door trims for you this arvo...

As for the struts... yes i do have them... they are complete with caliper and recently machined rotors and pads...

Make an offer

G'day,

well i'll check it out in the next couple of days to make sure it is servicable... i'm always nervous bout sending stuff sight unseen.

if you want to ship it you will have to organise it from your end....

hi there people....

one last time.
i have pretty much stripped everything i want from the shell, plus some of the good bits to hang onto in case people want them later.... like a mint set of rear lights.. etc.

IF THERE IS ANYTHING YOU MAY WANT ASK NOW - NO REASONABLE OFFER REFUSED as the stuff will go to the recycler, probly friday this week....

Ok provided its all in reasonable order i.e. no gaping holes or look like it has been made from 4-5 different cars it should be fine.

Nah mate,
all for one car....
straight through 2 1/4 in with a hotdog and one muffler.

all you may need is to have a piece of pipe welded between the end of your extractors (or what ever) To the end of the pipe.

Re: ra40 parts.. and almost new motor Tue, 10 September 2002 08:31 Go to previous messageGo to next message
it's in one piece at the moment....
i could cut it in two with the angle grinder... then you would have to weld it back to gether....it goes from bout the back of the engine bay to the rear of the car....
i would have to measure it....
probly wiegh bout 15kg... very rough guess....

can weight it if it looks like you want it...

Cheers
