no clutch feel or engaement (hydraulic) Tue, 24 February 2004 10:03 Go to next message
The clutch was working fine on the weekend. I broke a driveshaft on saturday, so the car hasn't driven since saturday.

So I put the new shaft in today and went to test drive it. The pedal has no feel and the clutch is not engaging. The clutch fluid level is fine.

Where do I go from here?

Maybe there is air in the system?

Or i just last weekend had the situation where the clutch fork managed to unclip itself and come off the carrier bearing.

Get under the car, have a mate press the clutch in and out and watch the slave cylinder and fork and see if it's moving or not.

If the slave isn't moving probably air in the system or crappy master cylinder.

if the slave is moving and pushing the fork, maybe the clutch diaphram has collasped.

Just some ideas...

Joel

I had the same thing happen 2 me. I got a brand new racing clutch thinking that was the prob... But it was a broken spring in my slave cylinder
