splitters, canards and spoilers...

anyone have any good links / resources on front splitter design, and what you should do with plating the underbody? also whats the go with canards? wank or work?
finally, does anyone have any info on spoiler design and placement on liftback vehicles?
yes ive tried google, but need a bit more info under my belt so i can search more effectively

And im sure you know this already but the rear spoiler decreases lift and increases drag on an MA61.

ed, have you heard of wool tuft testing? im thinking yes, but this is how you could try a few things out.

it would appear i have some reading to do
it looks like the easiest thing to do would be a front splitter/dam and a decent wing in the right location.
i also believe a good rear diffuser can work well?
anyone have any sites/info on wing design and placement (principles only?)
as for wool tuft - yes, ive heard of it, but honestly dont know much about it
