18rg"T"eu setup Wed, 25 February 2004 11:35 Go to next message
I wanna turbo my 18rgeu once its finished and have a few questions. will 380cc injecters be big enough if i am onlyy running about 5 - 6psi or boost. Also how do i find out of these injecters will fit my fuel rail. They are out of a 1jz something but exactly sure how it goes. and will my connecter plugs fit the injecters.

295cc out of a 7M would be good and they will fit the fuel rail

380cc would be plenty, for that amount of boost. As long as they are the push in type there shouldn't be any drama with fitting them in your fuel rail.

The connectors however sometime have the lug in a different position, but i just cut bits out of my plugs to make them fit on my rx7 injectors Smile. Not sure if that would be necessary for 1jz injectors though.

As for the 7M injectors, there not too much bigger than the standard ones. Which doesn't leave you much room if you decide to run a bit more boost.

Yeah your right.
But the 7Ms are cheep...
and 6 to 8psi they will do the job for now. If he wanted
more boost later the 550cc Rx7 like you have will do the job also.
but if he is like most people who become BOOST JUNKY
the 550 won't be enough.... Very Happy

18R-GEU injectors are around 200cc (give or take 20cc, can't remember exactly) while the 7M-GTE injectors are 440cc, so that's a HUGE upgrade and more than enough for 5-6psi boost.

7M injectors will fit the in the fuel rail but 1JZ injectors won't, they're a totally different type.

so i should scrap the 1jz injecters then. Does anyone have a list of what injecters will fit the fuel rail and what engine and car they came from. This would be great. Thanks

get the "yellow" 7mGE injectors. they are 295cc
the "light green" 7mge injectors are also 295 but are high ohm.
the 7mgte "black" are 430cc
rx-7 13BT "purple" are 550cc
the 18RGEU stock injectors "blue"are 210cc,
same injectors as "Blut top" 4AGE btw.
They would be good for 5-6psi but leave no room for more. and you will want more i'll guarranty.

The only thing more additive then Crack is BOOST!!!
mark my words.. Twisted Evil

your 18RGEU stock injectors will should be able to handle 5-6psi. If not i heard the DOHC 86-89 Acura's(honduh's) are low ohm and 240cc. the next step would be 295cc from a 3TGTE.
They would plug right into your harness and the ecu will fire them BUT you will have to tighten your AFM wheel about 10-15 teeth and the spring will break eventually.

ok so how do i make sure i only run 5 psi of boost into it. Do i need to tighten the airflow meter for it all to run properly.

make sure you have a 5 psi wastegate actuator also make sure you have a properly sized wastegate or you could get boost creep and go boom. the AFM only measures air coming in. it can't let some on and let other air out. its to stupid for that. Smile

Ok the next question is how do i make sure i have a psi actuater. I thought they were all adjustable. Do u know any good sites where i could get pics so i make sure i get the right turbo with the right psi setting. Or can u just buy psi actuater things to suit the turbos. and how much if u can buy them.

Holy shit dude... if you're asking questions like this, I don't think you should be attempting a backyard turbo installation!

Anything that i could get over here would defeat the purpose cause of the shipping, import duty, taxes. Your Gov. is almost as farked as mine, greedy theiving bastards. Mad
