I washed my hands afterwards
Yup had gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs. Should have had long sleeves though, got little spots all up and down my arms now.

Firstly, look at my avatar
Secondly, thats what the guard on both the handle, and the disc is for.
and Thirdly, I dont think a glove will stop the blade from cutting a finger off in a very violent situation, unless you have uber tough leather gloves.
I've come closer to getting myself in the stomach and thigh than cutting a finger off

gloves can be worn on stomachs ( )
yes, I noticed avatar - had many things to say, thought it might be a bit insensitive.
I've got gloves that would save alot of skin (and the pain that goes along with skin removal)

If I was grinding daily for a profession, or if I was using a 9" grinder (and not a 4") then I would prolly wear leather gloves and a leather apron.
But I havent even come close to getting the disc near my hands as they are both always holding on to the grinder.
If you come close to cutting your hands with a spinnig disc, I suggest you evaluate your grinding technique
Now that I've said that, whats the bet I cut myself the very next time I pick up a grinder!

wrists and ankles are actually the most common places to suffer angle grinder partial amputations. In the thigh, circular saw accidents are actually more common

Thats because most ppl dont respect power tools.
They are very dangerous items, and have to be operated accordingly

Its amazing how soo many ppl are put off after they see what can really happen
Both in accidents, food industry, racing etc etc
Sometimes its a good thing tho
