bigger brakes and 4AGE in AE86 Thu, 26 February 2004 07:12 Go to next message
I have just brought an AE86 with a 4AGE in it and the alt has been swapped to the other side of the motor and the adjuster bracket is mounted to the cam belt cover (not good). It looks like they did this because the water outlet was in the way. I would like to hear from people that have done the swap and see if i can make it neater or put it back where it belongs and retain the same water outlet (i think this is for a rwd but the motor is fwd).
The next thing is the brakes i would like to put bigger ones on maybe nissan four spots. Has anyone done this mod i would like to see how it is done and what i need.

Use the water pump\thermostat assembly from a 4AC - easy to get and will help make what sounds like a FWD 4AGE into a RWD 4AGE.

Cheers
