1G-FE bolt on kits?

Do they exist?
If they do, I may consider an IS200. Great chassis, tiny balls.

They certainly do! TTE make a supercharger kit for the IS200, and there are others as well. Here's one I saw at the All Toyota Day in Brisbane a couple of years ago:

Yes it looks very nice and you'd swear it was a factory installation. When I first saw it I was like, damn, that's a huge aircon compressor! Wait a minute...

Had a bit of a sneaky peak and found these on the TTE supercharger.

Niiiice
I think I'd definitely go for the supercharger kit over a turbo on the stock engine.. It just looks so at home!!
Wasn't Koffee-Black asking much the same questions as this not long ago, and he ended up going with a 3SGE conversion? I know that wouldn't help you much if you're salary packaging the thing, but there might be some decent advice in one of the older threads..

Those kits are nice but being so new will be big $$$.
Why don't you reef out the 1G-FE new std motor and rebuild it as a long term project, with super-tuff forged pistons etc, and bolt in a 1G-GZE from a import GS131 Crown ?
This way you get instant supercharged go for less than $1000, and your new 1G-FE is ready to go back in whenever the GZE dies ......
Just an idea....
Cheers,
Mitch.

Because it's not legal to put an engine into a car that's older than the car itself.
Otherwise, it'd be a simple case of sticking a 1G-GTE in there and driving on the road to bliss.

Then it'd handle like the IS300...
Granted, hanging a blow drier off the side of the engine will increase weight, but not that much.

Fair point Nark, I had forgotten that requirement that you guys 'suffer' in the Eastern States......we don't have that particular problem in Perth, W.A.

True! After researching this and that for a few months, I decided to just 1JZGTE the bastard! I was (THIS) close to buying that supercharger kit in the pic in Brissy, but have heard the 1G-FE is not too reliable with forced induction.
Join www.lexusownersclub.com, browse the UK and NZ section, PLENTY on info on the UK section.
Also www.IS300.net US site, but there is an IS200 section.
like you said man, car has everything but balls, My friend cant get away from me around the twisties in his Type R!

Yeah, I'm kinda worried about the internals. Especially the 10:1 CR...
I suppose 6psi would be OK. Considering the power that guy got, I'd be happy with that.
I'm still going through those sites. There's a lot of crap in those sites.

Lexus metallurgy standards apparently require forged pistons, I'd be checking it out A low boost high-compression engine tuned well could be awesome.

Yeah, that's what I'd figured... The internals should be close to or as strong as the 1G-GTE internals. The high compression is the only real worry, but tuned well it should be OK.
Just need a computer that can control the VVTi...

hehe Yeah, well I think the Motec and the Autronic might be the only two options...
Nothing else can control the continuously variable timing...
