I have a pair of vented AE86 discs lying around and was wondering if it was possible to squeeze the standard non-vented calipers over them?
Any help would be appreciated.

Somehow I doubt they would fit. I have not tested, but the vented disk will not fit in the caliper made for solid disks. If you want some brake calibers, use early Tarago ones. They are for 20mm thick disks and look identical to the JDM AE86 ones. You will need to make a adapter plate of some sort. I don't know how thick the vented AE86 disks are, but I am guessing they would be 20mm. The solid disks would be about 11mm thick.

Japspec disks are supposed to be 17mm minimum if I remember correctly. Ones I have in the shed are down to 15mm so they arent legally allowed to be fitted. Think Ill just wait till I can grab rotors + calipers and do it properly.
