Anyone know how slimline these are? Or know how good they are?
I have been offered a set for $300 which doesnt sound to bad, so im trying to figure if it will suit the brake upgrade i'm trying to achieve.
Any info? Thanks

I tried this a few weeks ago, that rotor and a 15 inch wheel, and with the wheel in question it JUST caught the edge. It all depends how much clearance your wheels have got! You should be able to get rid of the Nissan logo, however.

Ok so it will depend on the wheels. Thats ok.
So is $300 for the pair a good price?

there are 2 types - to suit 26 & 30mm thick disks. there is also a lower class cousin that looks exactly the same, but is steel. make sure you get the right one.
as to whether they will fit - will depend mostly on the ofset or "hat" on your disk - they are not that big, but they could cause problems.
$300 is not bad. most nissan wreckers will sell them from $440-660 pr.

Yes, but only if they are the alloy ones ('91 to '95 - before and after those dates they are cast iron).
I found a place that were selling them in Sydney for $220/pair shipped !!!! Norbs got a set and they were alloy. Some places are selling them for $300 each.
I can get an overhaul kit (new seals and boots) for $40 for both calipers if you want them.
Cheers

What model R33 came with the 26mm width rotors? These calipers are a grey colour and have SUMITOMO written on them with NISSAN on them aswell.

Apparently so. They take the same pads (DB1170 - as do the 200SX, Subaru WRX (I Beleive) and a few others).

The twin turbo ones i got take the 30mm rotor and are alloy.
Paid $260 with used rotors.

Joel,
You got a steal there, although it depends on what the rotors are like.
I'm in the type where if you have spent the time and money to do the upgrade, the best thing to do is throw on ne discs. The old ones will help with the setup, but the new ones are best for the end result - smae with pads and caliper kits. It is only your life anyway

Mate I agree 100%. Basically when I brought the calipers the dude just chucked in the rotors for free.
I'm not going to use them, but find they are good for 'testing' etc in putting the whole setup together. Then when I've got it worked out I can purchase new rotors, pads, rebuild kit.
