Ke10 stud pattern problem Mon, 01 March 2004 06:15 Go to next message
I've been trying to do a brake upgrade on ke10 with ke20 hubs and found the stud pattern is different! Was supposed to be 110mm, stud to stud. But on my car its 108. Which means my perfectly good 13" globe rims won't fit anymore. Has anyone ever come across this before? What do i do?

you have a bit of a problem then Wink

both KE10 and KE20 have 4x110mm pattern
later rollas have 4x114.3mm

are the 4x108 from KE10 or KE20? are you absolutely sure thats what they are?? all the KE10 and KE20 hubs i have are 4x110, and 4x108 was never released by toyota on corollas to the best of my knowledge.

good luck

That's what i thought. But the wheels simply won't fit and we measured it. The guy at the wrecker said he'd heard of this b4, although not on a corolla. Apparently fords and some british cars had the 108 stud pattern. The previous owners must have gone to a lot of effort to change the studs and front and rear drums, just to get these rims on...really freakin annoying. You don't happen to know of anyone or place who could sell me some nice rims...although my friend is a bit of an engineering wizard, and we could modify existing rims to fit(so close!)...? may not get through rego though...!!??

so you have the escort 108 pattern on the KE20 hubs? farrrk!!! and the rims are 108's??? man that sucks. you could get the hubs altered with new studs for the smaller pattern, but i would high recommend against fitting 108 rims to a 110 pattern... true it's only 1mm each side, but it just isn't safe Sad

look for some cheap RX7 rims in the meantime? stocker alloys go for maybe $40....

will the current rims go far toward getting new ones with proper pattern?

are you measusing from the centre of the stud to the centre of the other stud

sounds to me like you have the later 4 stud rims (4x114.3)

or perhaps someone has messed around with your car before you bought it and changed it from 4x110 to 4x114.3

get an old rwd mazda rim and check it just to be sure
