As A rebuild is going to cost me toooo much, Instead I'm chasing a low mile/reconditioned 6M-GE
main importance is that the top end is in good nick, as I have an Immaculate bottom end if all else fails

There is a complete 5M-GE in an 84 Crown at Northern Road wreckers. Supposed to be in good condition if you can beleive what they tell you.
They want $1750 for it tho and at that price you could buy a Whole 83 Crown MS123 off me with a digital 5M-GE that has only done 120,000 odd k's and has January Rego.

Down here in Melb, RE Engines have a couple 6MGE's for about 900.

I've sourced them from different outlets of "all Jap" in Brisbane, being between $1150 & $1250, carry a 6 month/10,000k warranty (with radiator flush)
And being Brisbane my frieght charges won't be as harsh as I'm In Townsville
You guys think I could do any better than that?
I just need something that will definately last me say, 2 years
(i'll treat it nice)
and by that time I'll be able to drop a monster in there.
