3t-gte into rt142 corona

just a few questions im not sure about
1) will the 3t bolt to the 22re 5speed 2) will i have to change engine mounts or will it bolt to 22re engine mounts 3)will i have to change the whole loom or can i hook it up to the 22re loom but replace the computer with the 3t comp

1)not unless you have the 3tgte bellhousing. The 3tgte came with the W55 tranny. so you can use that tranny or take that bellhousing and mate it to your tranny.
2)I made new ones. you can keep the cross member mounts.
3)if you have the 3tgte loom use it, otherwise you can try to use the 22re loom but I dont think some of the connections will be in the same place. The 22re and 3tgte ecu plugs are different.

sorry to bring this thread back up and yes i have done a search and i am still confused. I thought that u can't put an engine in a car that is older than the car itself. Was the 3tgte built in 1986 cause i would be well interested in putting it in my car (RT142 1986). Also if i can find an engine made in 86 would it require engineering as it came in the same car in japan (TT142)

Check with your state road transport authority, or a competent auto-engineer, to be 100% sure.
I think the motor you are putting in has to match, or beat, the emmision levels of the original motor.
i have heard different opinions on this..
