20V owners - What Gearbox oil? Tue, 02 March 2004 06:51 Go to next message
Having just gotten myself a c56 (silvertop 20v) gearbox, I'm now wondering what gearbox oils most 20V owners find best?

Would the recommended oil for the normal Corolla g/b be suitable, or should I go for something with a different rating?

Any advice would be muchly appreciated. Smile

bump! I'd love to know this aswell. Beats making a new thread. I've been meaning to change mine, haven't the slightest clue whats in there at the moment, but yeh i think the g/box could be smoother as it isn't exactly right now.

I hear penrite and redline are good, but exactly which ones? Also does toyota have one?

Thanks heaps.
