Hi Rolla Boy,
Consider the SX alloys SOLD !!!
That is, if i can see a pic of them, and more importantly (here's the catch) i can arrange some affordable freightage to Perth
I have been looking for some SX alloys for over 3 months now, so yes, i am serious. In fact, just last night i posted a message about this in the wanted section, but i figure no one really looks there anyway.
Would it be possible to weigh one and get some dimensions for me? I would really like to see if it would be feasible to get them freighted over...
Thanks a lot if you can help me out here It would be greatly appreciated, as i just can't find any here.
My email is: lsweeney@iinet.net.au
Regards, Liam.

Okay... I don't have any pics of my wheels at this stage but they are the same as these...
I will try to get a pic soon... They weigh roughly 9 kilos each and are 14x5.5... I don't know how to set up the freight so if you wanna get prices and i'll add it on... Hope it isn't too much... They are quite heavy and, don't forget, they will need to packaged aswell... I'll try to get pics asap... But i don't have a digicam...

Hey,
I was at the wreckers today, and asked them about a rough price on freight. They reckoned it would be atleast 80 cents/kilogram, so that's about 40 dollars. That seems very reasonable to me. I will hunt down some freighters/couriers and find some definite figures, and we'll take it from there?
Let me know how you go with the photos.
Regards, Liam.

Yeah... That sounds fine to me... The only thing would be that the cost of freight would be included in the price... My cousin has a digi cam for a bit so i'll try to get some pics over the weekend and put them up on monday...
I'll take photos of everything while i've got the camera and put them up...
Damnit!!! Someone PLEASE take the bloody Swift dash mat!!!!!!!!!!!

Quote: Sprinter Power Steering tensioner pulley and bracket - $50
I am wondering if this will fit in a non-power steering Sprinter, and makes it has power steering with just these two parts?? Do I need any other mods?? Thanks.

Cola, The bit that I have was given to me... It is just the tensioner pulley for the p/s belt... I take it that your car doesn't have p/s so yes, there are heaps of other mods that are needed... Like a steering rack for instance, p/s pump and the lines for the p/s fluid to run through... I just found out that p/s wasn't brought out in Sprinters in Aus so looks like this is gunna be a hard part to sell... Liam, found out about the freight at all???

Rolla boy, Yeah, I knew that the Oz spec sprinter won't come with P/S. Anyway, I will try to ask my friend if he want to sell the P/S from his JDM AE86. Thanks anyway.

Heya,
I have a heap of places and phone numbers written down to ring, i just haven't had the time to do it!
I have some time free tomorrow morning (Wednesday), so i will sort it out then, and post up a message during the day, ok ?
For estimation purposes, I'll enquire on a 40kg package of dimensions 45cm x 45 cm x 75 cm, from Sydney to Perth. This should give us a fair idea on how feasible it is. What suburb are you in though?
Also, how did you go with the digicam on the weekend? Any luck?
Regards, Liam

Alrighty, the attachment didn't work... Great... Well the dimensions were: Height - 40cm Depth - 40cm Length - 70cm That should be big enough for protective wrapping aswell...

Ok, well i have two quotes so far and the news isn't good.
$220 for taking it to the depot with TNT and $275 with Mayne Logistics to get it picked up from your house.
Talk about pricey !!! I hear of freight for engines being ~250 dollars so i don't know what the deal is here... i shall call a few more places on my list. Hopefully there are some reasonable ones because as much as i would like some new rims, i'm not up to paying 95 dollars per rim for 14" stockies :0
I'll let you know how i go.
Regards, Liam.

What happened to the 40 buck quote??? Damn... That's way too expensive... What sort of freight is that though??? Cause my Uncle brought his motorcycle over from Perth to Sydney in a container on a train... I can ask him how much it cost if u want to know... I can also find out the company it was with... I hope he remembers... Where abouts would the depot be??? i don't mind dropping it there if it's not too far away...

Hey,
Well i rang the five other companies on my list and none of them do interstate freight... what happened to that 40 dollar quote? Well that was just a rough guess from a guy at the wreckers! He seemed to think -atleast- 80 cents/kg was the go. More like 5 dollars !!
I thought i would try Australia Post and it turns out they will do parcels up to 20kg. It turns out to be $6.85 plus $2.20 per kilo. So that would be ~102 dollars for two packages containing two rims each.
The only problem with that is that the girth can not exceed 140cm (I have not confirmed that in person). In other words, if you had a package that was 40x40x35, then the girth would be 40 across plus 35 up plus 40 back across and 35 back down equalling 150. So 37x37x33 would just squeeze in for the 140 limit but that would be pushing it with packaging. I shall find out more about restrictions on this.
But anyway, 100 dollars is sounding a lot more reasonable, but find out that info from your uncle aswell if you can
Regards, Liam.

Hey Liam... The pics didn't work for some reason ...
I'm not able to get a discount from Dad and my Uncle can't remember what company it was... Sorry Man...
I won't be able to get pics up for a while now... Are you still interested with the price of freight and all??? That seems like a huge expense...

Heya,
Yeh I am still interested but it might make sense to suss out what is available over here again ... i might be able to get some 15's on the cheap or something like that. I have a few months before my tyres go really bald so it's not as if i am desperate.
If you manage to get some pics at some stage, let me know, otherwise, the search continues!
Regards,
Liam.

Hi Ben,
So you bought the digital camera hey?
Yes i am still interested, aslong as the postage does not blow out for some strange reason (although i can't see why it should)
~200 total is still fairly cheap in comparison to the price of decent tyres at 100-150 a pop...
I saw a AE92 Seca SX tonight with 14" alloys fairly similar to those in that pic, except they had TOYOTA written in the middle, and i reckon they looked fairly decent. When you get your pics just feel free to email them to me if you don't want to upload them via FTP. I'm mainly just interested in seeing the general condition.
Anyway my email is lsweeney@iinet.net.au
Thanks,
Liam.

Yeah... I get the camera on Monday...
The wheels have centre caps with "Toyota" written on them...
The wheels have a few marks on them but I'm gunna clean 'em up a bit in the near future...
