how do I stop my ball joint from spinning? Wed, 03 March 2004 03:34 Go to next message
I went to get a wheel alignment but they woudn't do it because the ball joint was heaps loose.

ok no drama I think.. but I just went to tighten it, but the threaded piece just spins with the nut as I tighten it!

How do I stop this it is making me MAD Mad Smile

I find if you put a jack under the ball joint and put a bit of pressure on it it stops it spinning. As it is a tapered shape.

damm straight.. I feel like an idiot for not thinking of it, but yeah, just jacked up under the ball joint and she was as good as gold. I snapped my cotter pin Sad oh well a 20 second replacement job tomorrow
