would it be ok to put a 4age engine in a 1990 - 91 csi / cs rolla instead of buying a sx/gti rolla as i am on a tight budget and they are very rare to find "speaking from 1 month trying"
The only thing is would i have to change anything on the 90 -91 csi rolla ? So my point is i want to make a csi/ cs like a sx/ gti by putting the 4age in it ? will it still be the same in kw and power? i dont care about the extra feautres that the sx and the gti have over the csi i just want the car "1991 corolla hatch but with the same amount of kw the sx/gti has 100kw

Yes, that would be fine. Make sure u get the small port 4A-GE motor and gearbox. I'd advise upgrading to rear disk brakes while your at it, but if you're on a very tight budget then i guess you could stay with your rear drums.

I'm with Nigz..by the time you buy all the things needed for conversion you will be wishing you just bought the SX, there are plenty around, just wait for a decent one to come up 4 sale
