Yes those are. Law says that you have to have winter and summer tires and It would be pure madness to drive with summer tires in the winter and vice versa. I have to change my tires twice a year and that sucks !

Action shooting on the public road is forbidden .
My friends Hiace . I shooting.

If you're refering to high top, then thanks to Finnish laws again.

No! thats only like -10C. Anything below -25C is cold. It depends about your clothes of course. Coldest weather that I have experienced was -50C and I was in the army then. To be exact -50.3C and that is measured with army thermometer. Worst part is that we were "camping" then. Sleeping in the tent at
-50C is FREEZING!

You can! Just like I. This road is about 10km long.
Here's some additional pictures.

This piture is taken 15minutes ago in front of my home.

My anti-freeze is good till -35C-40C, but I have to use radiator sized piece of cardboard in front of my radiator when it goes bellow -20C. Without the piece of cardboard, my radiator would freeze to one block of ice due to wind that hits my cars front when I'm driving(dont know what to call that wind). I do have block warmer(550W) and cabin warmer(2000W). You can see the the warmer-cord in the pic that is taken in parking lot. I have kept -25C as a limit that when it goes bellow that I dont torture my car by starting it. But did I have to start my car recently at -35C. It sure was a experience that I dont want to suffer again. Motor started fine but it took about 10seconds to get the oil pressure to rise. My gearbox and diff was freezed. Gear-stick was so rigid that you have to use both hands to shift and when I did release the clutch, my Corona stalled immediately. After new start I did have to keep revs at 3000 and when I released clutch again my car didnt stall but started to go like automatic would go, so I did keep it still and running by braking and reving it . My round tires were freezed to D-shaped tires too . Driving was like pulling 50t truck.
Anyway dont get me wrong here ain't normally too cold. Normal winter temperatures in Oulu-my home city are between -10C and -20C. Coldest temperatures in my home city have been close to -40C. Village that I went to army (Sodankylä) is officially coldest in Finland and AFAIK in Europe. That village is on northern side of arctic circle.
Luckily summers are nice and warm.

I feel bad about bitching that the aircon in the building i was in today was turned down too much(in class temp we measured was 19 degrees and feck all humidity, outside was 35? and 90+% humidity :S)
although those shots where you can see nothing but snow look surprisingly beautiful
well to me at anyrate

Imagine all how much salt is thrown on the road to make it drivable ?
Lucky I am here looking at photos, else my SA63 would be a thing of memory from it being no existant (from too much rust)
Nice pics and thanks for show me a difference in road conditions there are.
Cheers.

dude I read this with my mouth open and then was laughing at the appropriate points! MAN! I have so little real-world appreciation fo this I can hardly imagine it.
You are a champion! In fact, your whole country must be populated by champions! What incredible conditions. have you ever touched some metal with your bare hands. Like what happened in the army if you picked up your gun with bare hands after camping?
That almost looks like one o fthos "mushroom" heaters in the last shot. lol
