Ok, what happened ???????
It all depends on what is damaged. Basically need to relieve any pressure on the bonnet latch and try manipulating from underneath.

Crowbar. 
Like Mike said, you need to work from underneath. Try not to snap cables, that's generally bad.

Luckily its open no issues.....being dads wallet he wants to try and bend everything back by hand
