Article from the Sunday Telegraph, 19th May....
"Toyota is set to fly. The Japanese car maker is investigating a possible entry into the aviation business. It already has developed a certified avaition engine based on the 4-litre Lexus V8 from its superseded Lexuz LS400, but reports this week indicate Toyota has built a prototype light plane, called Toyota Advanced Aircraft, which is ready for testing."
Geez, what will they build next?!

I've been told that Toyota's long term plan is to become the worlds largest supplier of commercial aircraft. I hear that the new plane will be cheaper and better built than any other, light aircraft companies in the US are very worried as they know what happened to the auto industry when the japanese started to offer a better product.

Well, they can keep building gearboxes as far as I'm concerned, they've built the best gearboxes I've ever felt. Beats my Peugeot, the BMW ones I've felt, the Mitsubishi ones in the Proton and the Nissan one in the Dattos' that I've had.
Unless Mercedes or Ferrari make a better one, (Which may have happened) I'll stand by what i say.
