 3s-gte turbo questions

I know the stock turbo in the 3s-gte is the CT26, but i just got a few questions about them, if anyone could induldge me with some answers, t'would be very much appreciated 
when do they require a rebuild? how much does it cost? And does anyone know who rebuilds them?(Brissy crew) I have a MAZFIX about 5 mins up the road from work, i was thinking of going to them.
If it is just cheaper and smarter to whack a new turbo on (i gotta get used to the stock power before any major upgrades) which turbos are a good idea?

They need rebuilding when you start getting shaft play and or they start leaking oil.
Brisbane Tuning and Turbo at the Gabba(ask for Philip) can rebuild and hi flow it to be good for around 400Hp. For this they charge about $1200 which I dont think is to bad considering they use garret bearings in the rebuild aswell.

as cool1 said... But if ur going expecting big power increses i suggest a bigger better turbo.
