they are rated at 208kW and 390something Nm of torque fromt he factory. everyone knows this is horseshit though, it's closer to 220kW.
and yes, these engines are very good.
you should be able to see a solid 600ps on the std bottom end with good tuning - although you'll need a big single/twins to get that kinda power.
the std turbos will run out of puff at about 370-400ps (depending on tune).
honestly, the T51/T66/T71/T76 kits from nipponland are your best bet. try and source one second hand or off ebay. this, combined with a big intercooler, good exhaust and a power FC will net you you fistfuls of power and torque.
note these power figures are at the engine.
