Hey, just wondering if there is a difference between the oil coiled and the water coiled wiring diagrams for a 3TGTE? Mines almost finished being wired up but apparently the diagram i provided was for the older model engine? It was the one off here http://users.chariot.net.au/~stmezz/3tginfo.htm .

I don't believe there is any difference between the ECUs & wiring.
I also don't think there is a early or late ECU.
Cheers

Boris,
That diagram is from my site. There is no difference in the ECU, the first 3T GTE's were oiled cooled and later models were water cooled. Thats the only difference with the engine.

Yep, no differences between oil and water cooled versions. I have a few good versions or wiring diagrams (ie different authors for the same job), if you need a copy, but it sounds like you don't?

In that case I wouldn't trust the person wiring the car. Workshops that can wire up an ECU in a non EFI car are few and far between.
Best to do it yourself!

Boris,
The 3T GTE diagram on my site is all you need. There is both diagrams for the knock and ECU.
If someone has told you its wrong due to oil cooling then you are getting the wrong person to do the job.

Boris - I have been there with trying to get non-EFI cars wired up for an EFI motor..
The water cooled and oil cooled are the same! If the person doing the job can't read the diagram..... well, I'd be wary..
oh the fun of playing with old cars!
Ask the guy doing the job to point out to you the difference!(there is none - take a look and you will see the lines feeding the turbo are the only difference!)

I'll hopefully be speaking to him this afternoon, so i'll find out where exactly the differences are so we can work out a solution.
