Profesional Car Detailing Sun, 14 March 2004 02:16 Go to next message
I've heard a few people say they have had there car profesionaly detailed.
Just wondering what they do to your car, how much it costs etc.
(not looking at having it done, just wondering... seems like a waste of money, or is there something more???)
Cheers
Leighton

well we get all our cars at work detailed all they do is...give the paint a good buff and get all the marks out, armour oil the dash and plastic bits, steam clean the interior, we also get the engine bay done and they polish up all the pipes just so it looks pretty, and thats about it, got no idea on the price tho

I would be very interested to find out a good place in Melbourne to get my car detailed. I have a bunch of scratches covering my car that will come out with a good cut and polish. I can't be arsed doing it myself though and want it done well. I can do the interior myself though.

give me your ae86 and $150 and one full saturday
your car will shine in every aspect when you return and will stay that way for at least a month

Wink

using all meguiars products, and all polishing by hand (ie. no swirl marks and no paint burning)

full car high pressure rinse
bodywork wash + chamois dry
acid free wheel wash
wheel detail (chrome is polished, non chrome is toothbrush detailed to remove all grime and brake dust) + tyre gloss
bodywork paint cleaner to remove any other old paint waxes or chemicals
full wash + chamois dry again
bodywork polish (by hand of course)
bodywork wax (carnauba)
other chrome detailing (all chrome polished)
bumper plastics treated with a meguairs plastic preserver (similar to armourall but not shitty oily finish)
interior clean and vacumn
all glas surfaces cleaned and exterior RAIN-X applied
all plexiglass plastic polished (makes clouded plastic shine again, ie. taillights and old indicators, dash panels, ect)
polish your chrome exhaust tip Wink

all done

Smile

I CAN GUARANTEE AE86DRIFTS DETAILING SKILLS

Garth (ae86drift) is the most anal cleaner i know of...

When he bought the trueno up to bris he had to shammi his car every time it rained...

If you had to trust anyone to clean your car in a lovin way... instead of some guy that gets paid some average wage to clean yet another car...

TRUST IN GARTH....

HE HAS A SERIOUS CLEANING PROBLEM AND WE SHOULD ALL EXPLOIT IT...

no offence was ment in this post

I just park my car in the garage, much less effort than chamoing the car every day, no offence detailing a car aint that hard, just as long as you have all the crap u need its fairly easy.
