if ur looking at a good strip car then u might want to keep the twin turbo's. U'll need to have it turned so that they come on at the right revs for maximum boost.

There is a Red Gemini in Brisbane here that has done low 10's. Uses a T04 I believe.

There's an old Zoom magazine with a celica running a 1ggte TO4 single turbo, standered internals, running low 10's.
I would definetly suggest running a single turbo.
But if you want high 12's you'll need to strengthen the internals, otherwise I dont think the motor will handel that much power for long.

Yeah MORBST ran a 10.08, the owner of the workshop has told me since he has not run it. That was done with about 580hp at the fly i was told. A setup like that car seems to go fairly hard, i should know, the workshop who built that car also played a fair part in the driveline in my car, it ran a single turbo setup and peeked rpm at about 9250rpm, thats just a taste of wat had to be done to get that kinda power.

I helped a mate set up a 1GGTE in a 1990 hilux the motor was with stock internals and head , single GT 30/40 Garrett , FMIC , custom plenum , Haltech ECU and extra 6 injectors , I tuned it on the dyno and got 208 RWKW's can't remember the boost but it was pulling 13.1's , So in a lighter car and something with better aerodynamics than a hilux I think you would be looking at low 12's .

The guy that owned the MORBST TA22 spoke 50% bullshit. The only way to get real power figures from him was to take his rear wheel power and devide it by 2. This pretty well gave the correct figure for flywheel power.

Well, you can have one of those on you engine if you like.
For a spare, say, AUD$4,500.
plus the extras it cost along the way.

Had a look at your web site Stradlater, the car looks great, it should be a beast when it's finished.
