RA60 Stubborn Crank Pulley Bolt

Any got any tips on how to remove a tight crank pulley bolt on an RA60.I want to replace a leaking front oil seal but can't get the pulley bolt undone. I've tried using a socket with a long bar against the chassis & then cranking the engine but that didn't have enough power to break it loose.Next, removed the starter& jammed a screwdriver in the teeth of the flywheel & got my burly neighbor to pull on the socket extension but that only split the socket. Got another socket but am now having trouble jamming the flywheel so it doesn't move.Any ideas? Thanks, Cindy.

Put the spanner/socket back on the bolt head, but not resting on the body work. It will need a "run up" to get the force to crack it. Flick start the motor, and it should crack the bolt open. Failing that, you'll need a rattle gun to remove it.

did mine recently dont need starter trick or rattle gun.
obtain:
1 Sledge hammer
1 lonighish ring spanner to the right size
1 piece of 2x4 with a spanner sized split in the end.
something to brace the pulley with throught the hole is used a breaker bar (if ur crank pulley hasnt any cutouts then i cant help u)
1 friend/relative etc
now place the ring spanner on the nut and place the wood over the other end of the spanner get the other person to wedge the bar into the cutouts on the crank pulley and hold tight! now the other person hits the end of the wood with the sledge hammer and it comes off.
worked second hit for me

I didn't even notice the cutouts in the pulley! There doesn't seem to be much space to wedge anything too large through the cutouts & down the side behind the pulley but will definitely give it a go. Just need something narrow enough that won't break. But first,I'll give the starter trick one more try- but will put a bit of wood or something on the chassis so it doesn't dent it.Thanks for the help, Cindy.

I put a breaker bar on mine, then slipped a 1.25m pole over the top of it and then pushed really f'ing hard. Do it with it in gear and it should just pop off.
