OK gay quote.... Cry

BUT i was watching the drags on Fox Sports (Foxtel) one day and there was a bit where they had 'relatively stock' looking vt utes dragging - I'd assume they were the 5.7L gen3 v8s worked on a bit... but I was suprised with the times !!

like 14.5s 1/4 mile ...is this normal Question

Off the tangent, what times do other stock vehicles run ??
And also what 1/4 mile times do your beasts run (not "I think my car would"... times but ACTUAL times you have run!)

S15 200SX does quarter in about 14.5
Current shape WRX can do it around the same.
MY00, last of the old shape has managed a 13.9 a few times in testing.
SS Commonwhores do it in around 14.5 as well.
The 255kW HSV's are a little quicker, MOTOR have actually got a 13.98 out of them.

I've been able to beat all of these and by a fair bit, yet i dont think my car runs times like the HSV's and the MY00's you've listed.

14 is nothing to be ashamed of, and those times have been repeated by a few publications so they can't be that inaccurate

16.58 on TOYO3T's G-Tech.

Not too bad for an 11 year old, unmodified shopping trolley. Smiley =

Dont for get the up to 50% methanol diet and , how much was it Trev ?? 38 Deg, total advance on FULL BOOST !!!

That 22 is a weapon !!

My supra used to do repeatable 13.8's with the g-tech and 5.8 (2 up) 0-100. Now woth twin pipes we dida 5.36 0-100 (also 2 up), haven't done a 1/4 yet. With a bit more practice it should do 5.1's 0-100.

SUPRAGTE - you should give us a call, I would be very intersted in g-teching your car, see if you can match Zorro's (jza60) times...

DAMM TOYO3T that sounds pretty impressive !!

so... with 14 sec and a 16 sec car... is there much diff part from the obvious 2 second diff ?!?!

i.e. is that like a couple of hundred metres ahead on what or the strip ??

what i mean to say is say a v8 that does 14's and a twin cam - 16/17's ... ??

bah i make no sense ! Very Happy

2-3 seconds at around 140-160km/h. Do the maths, is quite a distance. Around 100-150m I reckon?

Cant vouch for the accuracy of it but this site says the XR6 (its an EF i think) does it in 16.3.

that second figure for the XR6 sounds better... I'm sure they'd spank my celica by more than a second
2 secs at 180km/hr is 100m exactly

but remember, most cars wont be doing 180 at the end of the quarter. (well, most "normal" cars)
