Help: Intermitant indicators on ST162

Any help appreciated folks - I might fool myself that I know a 'bit' about mechanical stuff, but electrics ...
The indicators on the missus' car (ie, right & left) stop working after the car has been left in the sun (usually over 30 degrees C for a couple of hours). If I do hand signals for about 40 minutes of freeway/main road driving - they work again. And they always work in cooler weather.
I don't even know where to look? Any ideas? Anyone?
cheers,
Justin

oh dear, sounds like you have a nasty electrical wiring fault
I would put my bet on an earth somewhere, as also would cool1 here so I will save him posting it later
BUT what I would do is try and get the problem to replicate itself then pop out perhaps the little guard indicator and use a multimeter to test the power and earths.
you will find it then I suspect
hope this helps

Brilliant - thanks heaps.
Just one question ...where is the little guard intdicator you mean? Any idea where the indicators would be earthed too.
Thanks again,
Clueless Justin

also check the indicator relay?,with indicators on shake all hell out of it and see if that replicates the problem, find it by listening for where the click comes from.
