manual, no performance mods, but goes very well, much better than my first car which was an '86 st162. only mod i spose would be the leather gearstick not that thats a mod, just a creature comfort really. Same with the white lightening buckets.
and its the same look as RobST162's, just the stock later model mags, and the front skirt's lower piece is black, not painted white.

Don't know how much but i haven't got a need to find out. But you can get some product, wynns i think, put into the gearbox that will make it a bit tackier and give it some more life if it does look like they are going. I had this done to my previous one before i bought it at a dealership. Other than that just be gentle and i will last. You can always double shuffle if you get one with poor syncros. I learnt how to do that and it did mean you could give it some and it would go in without any hassle.

It can be replaced without taking the engine out, nice and easy really. Or you could just get an mr2 box for some lsd action and more strength.

jinxinferno i don't have any photos of it on the computer, if i somehow get some over the weekend which is doubtful i'll mail them to you. I may be able to grab a camera off a mate if his dad has it home. But it is really just like any other one cosmetically except for the tint and the white lightening seats.
I know its a great car Les but i want to go back to a TA22, had one previously and miss it a lot apart from the creature comforts with this car, so i'm going to be looking to go back to one.

its not that bad, the car is 16 years old, most places say that an average is 20k a year, this works out at around 12k a year which is pretty good

not trying to put you offside dude.
i actually use to own one of these cars, over 150,000km they are known for head problems and people tend to steer clear.
however looks a nice clean example so good luck with sale, maybe this is just the wrong cross section to be trying to sell it to?

I've got an 86 model with 264K on it. I'm very hesitantly selling it for $4500 to a very keen buyer. I'm losing sleep because I don't really want to sell the car. The buyer is also losing sleep because he wants the car now. Everything is in top condition, except the sunroof which has some rust on the edges. Engine has been rebuilt at 200K. It is extremely rare -- bucket seats, sunroof, cruise control, electric windows are all factory fitted. I've replaced almost everything in the car that could break in the last 5 years (including repair of bucket seat upholstery). It should last another 100K without major problems. An RACV check yesterday gave it the thumbs up.
What I'm trying to say is that $4500 is a steal if the car is in excellent condition, regardless of the number of kilometers on the odometer. It is just bad luck that no one in NSW that reads this forum seem to be looking for one.

hey look unfortunately i just can't afford a $4500 car. insurance and having a life would get in the way...i apologise for being a tyre kicker or time-waster but it is really unrealistic for me to be able to afford a car like that.
The car looks beautiful...best of luck with the sale.
Again sorry

trado and carsales, but i've been trying to sell for 2 months now and its been a real pain. I was on the verge of just keeping it and giving up for a while and trying again in 6 months. not to mention abuse on it via SMS and rediculous offers of $2000 without even calling me to view the car.
anyway if you decide to sell good luck with it
