I would suggest where the standard one goes, as the 4 become 2, or just before it.

if you plan on using an unheated sensor, it should be within about 1-1.5 feet from the head.
if you use a heated sensor, it can be placed much further away, so you can fit in in the last collector, and sample of all 4 cylinders.. if you are confident that your injectors are ok, sampling off two cylinders should be ok, but may not get an unheated sensor hot enough.
i still have a couple of Bosch and NTK heated sensors (no flange, they have the standard M18x1.5 thread) for $60+post (or i could drop it off in camden sometime)

Hey oldcorollas,
i might be interested in one of those 02 sensors as mine is shagged. Do you need to alter the wiring? any benefits from a heated sensor compared to the non-heated?
cheers man

i pm'd him
just keep in mind that the single wire will need to be within a maximum of about 1.5 feet from head for an unheated sensor, and pretty much anywhere on the extractors for a heated one.
also remember to make sure the sensor is pointing upwards (so water will not collect in it inside the exhaust pipe) water in the sensor when it heats up can destroy the zirconia sensor.
just put the flange wherever it fits, pointing up, and as close to the head as needed for the type you use.
