i write it one day...

seriously - its pretty easy.

Wiring - Get your hands on the ECU pinouts from the www.club4ag.com tech reference, and the rest is self explanitory.

Fuel - talk to a mechanic about getting your standard tank modified with internal baffles and an AE82/AE92 intank pump.

Mounting - copy 4A-C.

Exhaust - bleeding obvious

thats about it really.

I did a fwd - rwd 4age conversion, had the 4ac out and 4age in before the day was out. Wired up the next day and fuel system done (bit dodgy), exhaust shop next day... done!

2 months and counting, but i haven't taken the 4AC out yet, so i suppose i shouldn't start counting yet.

i need a patch of mud and some rope (oops, wrong forum) and an engine crane to do it, i reckon the engine will take a day to change, then i can do the wiring in the days after that, i have a spare car which means i will never finish the conversion!

looking forward to driving it somewhere to do the exhaust with just the extractors hooked up.

If i had all the parts straight away, it would take around 3-4 days, doing 8 hr days to fully complete it, make it look stock etc etc

But for me, i did 3 hours here, wasting some more time there...
took me around 2-3 weeks...

if u got everything the motor in out will take a day (4ac's are easy to get out).

then its just a matter of wiring, radiator hoses, gearbox + clutch install, tailshaft, accelerator cable, fuel pump n surge tanks if installing, heater hoses, etc etc

then theres things like spark plugs, leads, water pumps, timing belts that id replace before putting the motor in....

id say about 3 weekends to do a good job

Took a week to convert my KE70 to 4AC.

Then 2 Weeks changing to 4AGE.

only took a few hours to drop the motor in & the rest of the time was getting all the small stuff done like fuel system etc.

the first time i took a 4ac out it took me about 30 mins, could prob do it a bit quicker now. add about another 30 mins putting the 4age in (bolted in, no wires etc) if you have all the right tools and an engine crane, the rest of the time is the fiddly stuff. just get an external pump and mount it under the car near the tank and use the stock pipes, put the ecu in the passenger footwell somewhere and run the wires to the engine bay before putting in the engine, then wire it up. ifyou have some mechanical experience you could do it on a weekend no prob.
