MR2 ENGINE COVER Thu, 18 March 2004 13:24 Go to next message

sup guys
the heat shielding on my engine cover has gotten water in it and over time has warn off those plastic plugs, and is now being held on with duct tape.

a new one from toyota will cost $100 and take a month to get here!??

so iam looking for an alternative? maybe exhaust wrap or something similar?
any ideas would be most appreciated.

cheers

Yiou can get foam/lead/foil insulation that is solid enough to fit screws or the plugs through. Try boating suppliers as it's used in engine covers to keep noise/heat down.
