i'll take u up on that offer, i have a feeling it may be a dodgy connection with my cd player, cause it keeps shutting off, so it may be a live connection all the time killing the power over night

Put a multimeter on your battery when the car is running. If the alternator is working properly (i.e. charging it) it should be around 13.5 - 14 volts (correct me if wrong). If that's ok you can pass the alternator. Then it's either battery or live connection like you said.

phil, when it stalled after15 sec and wouln't start- was it just not cranking or no juice at all?
former might indicate starter relay or solenoid on the way out - or wiring to it is dodgy (like my RA40)
later is probably a snafu wiring job...
btw - is alternator b/in regulator? or external?

Have you tried checking your battery terminals, see if they are tight. Found that this can cause such a problem cause you might have enough of a connection to keep the car running, but cranking it over requires a lot more power and if the connection pops off it can cause such a problem.
Good luck

I had the same problem in my rona. First time it was a fusible link near the alternater and the second time a dead cell in the battery. Some time it would go and other times it wouldnt. If the car started no probs and then died 15 seconds later i dont think it would be a drain in the battery or it wouldnt have started in the first time.
