Hi

Ok question for the st162 fella's, when you guys start you cars up in the morning, does anyones idle go to about 1,500 rpm's when you start the car from cold?? then eventually drops to normal idle rpm's after 2-4mins?? i thinking it could just be my starter motor almost dying?? or something, any idea's on what cause's this problem??

Yeah sounds fairly normal to me...depends how cold the car is of course. Usually goes up to about 1200 or 1300 revs I think, I haven't started my car in a few months so I'm not exactly sure what revs. The TCCS system on the first gen 3S-GEs use a water temp sensor to adjust idle setting and stuff like that...so as long as the idle speed goes back to normal after the car has warmed up enough, then it's reasonably safe to assume that it's all working o.k.
