Just seeing if anyone has actually done this conversion because I have a mate that will be starting his very soon, he picks his half cut up soon just wondering what sort of problems he is likely to encounter...

Talk to Danish and have a read of his website. He has done this conversion.

I had one I sold a month ago for $12,500.
I have another I am building up now. Engine is already in, still to do wiring and intercooler.

I am about to purchace a shell off a friend of mine, mz20.. thinking about the 1jz route too.. I read up on danish's car, and i must say Any idea on basic price ? i roughly worked out 5 grand running.. Am i getting anywhere near close ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.. peace

I too own such a lovely car, I'd say the 5k for the conversion would be pretty close. Don't forget some nice coilovers though!

That conversion is teh bodge.
Checkout the snaking of the harness and super long garden hose heater line. I dont know why they just didnt take the heater connections off the rear of the engine?

Yes, it does look pretty bodge, although the outside looks good! They painted over the grey stripe on the fron bar though...

its very boro style, personally i like it, but in answer to your question, that car is probably worth about 2K over there, its like us spending 3K on a Vk Commodore to paint the engine bay after we had sprayed the exterior a different color
