if you dont want to cut the attachment point of your current lever, make a short metal bit that bolts to the current attachment point that goes up to where you want the cable to bolt to.
i have the full TRD short shift and quick shift plans here, should do it to mine..

but aparantly the plate has wrong dimensions..
Can you do a comparison feral?
and yeah I've considered making a short metal peice that raises the attachment point, but IMHO thats a half arsed way to do things.
