How much oil needed for 3sgte. Tue, 23 March 2004 03:03 Go to next message
Can someone tell me how many litres of oil goes in a 3SGTE.

My motor is not slanted any more its sitting flat so the dip stick shows more then what there actualy is.

Dont know if it makes any difference but its an st185.

Any help, thanks. Razz

for a 90 model st185 (3sgte)

my manual says 3.9 litres

american chiltons manual says 3.8 quarts (3.5 litres)

so it'd be somewhere around there Smile

Thanks so much for your help. Smile

I've put about 4 1/2 L, I hope I havent done any damage as I've been driving the car. When I get home I think I'll drain about half a litre. Thanks again.

Actualy I just remebered my sump is modified and has a little bit more volume then the standered sump. So maybe I'll just drain a little.
