Whats wrong (4AC)

Hey guys !
When it comes to technically stuff on cars im not really that good so bear with me if this is a common problem.
When I accelerate lightly the engine makes a crinkly sound and when I floor it a shitload of smoke pours from the back.The sound becomes louder and worser the more I accelerate.

Although that crinkly sound seems to be pretty common amongst Corollas heaps of AE82's ive seen make the same noise but yeah the smoke is what worries me

4ac engines are cheap (if not free). just chuck it out and put in another one.

could be pinging... and the smoke well its a 4A-C thats what they do.
Could be a head gasket???

my 4ac cold starts everyday, and gets thrashed all the time..
still surviving.. The earlier it blows, the more reason to get a 4age
