saw a sprinter for sale and it had a 2L 18RGEU in it claiming 104kw's
these engines are out of the 2000gt celicas arent they ?
can someone post up some specs on this engine and/or experiences with them

For all the work I'd go with a newer, higher-tech multivalve and bolt-in (pretty much) 4A-GE and spend the difference you saved in reengineering for 18R to trick up the 4A.
Your mate's 18R was bulletproof, but mine ran main bearings =/ though I guess that was just as much user error =/ =/
