i have found out that by making my own plenum chamber and using the thermo housing of the original sprinter motor works, but the problem is the alternator, and now i have to make new brakets to support it to the engine. this sucks. the plenum chamber i have made sits level with the rocker covers and therefore is to low to allow the alternator to get enough hight to get the belt on.
well i think i will just lower the alternator a little.
