Hey I was just wondering! When people post on Fud Forums does it store the ip address that was used?
I know on UBB it does! Maybe when this guy posts again his ip address could be handed to me so I can have a play!
Just an idea

Yup. All posts get their IPs logged.
BTW, you guys can just click the [ignore all posts from this user] link. It'll solve the problem, no one will respond to his juvinile need for self importance and he'll go away.

an ip address would be useless, unless he has some sort of digital internet link

Modem users get assigned a new IP address each time they log on.
This makes it very difficult to ban/track a person who logs on using a modem.

I was'nt talking about banning him! I was thinking along the lines of once he is logged on and we get his ip, it only takes about 3 minutes for a slow person like myself to brake into his system and play silly buggers!

i've got a cd which has a virus that crashes windows 98 instantly, if we get his address we could send it down to him and make it out as a game demo or something thats hoping he has windows 98

dudes, there is physically noway you can wreck his pc using crummy little "hacking" programs you find online. the worse you could do is rape his bios and harddrive, and if he knows his pc, he'll flash his bios (with a boot disk), and reformat the hardrive.

I never said that I could stuff his pc for good! But I'm sure that I could replace a bunch of system files that would make the system useless untill he formats and starts again!

Well if you f#*$ed around with his BIOS, and new which were the Lines for his FSB and Memory Clock, you can try making it overheat/stress out, or send too high a voltage to the CPU or RAM. Provided he has Jumperfree enabled BIOS that is...
BUT, I hate people that f#*$ with other peoples machines
Then again, they do give me work to do! It's a double-edged sword.

For all the *uhumm* 'network admins' out there, theres a program called Lan Guard which allows you to put in someones IP address and if they have shares on they're HDD's, you can access them and cause havoc
