a little while ago i passed this place on my way to jindabyne.

i noticed it was HUGE and it looked like he hardly ever sent the wrecks to be cubed. On the way back I stopped at a servo and managed to get the name of the place. I called him the next day and he says he had a heap of old toyos and will ship parts to sydney if need be.

of course i lost all of his details didnt i.

looking in yellow pages right now this one stands out to me

Flynn's
Snowy Mountains Hwy Cooma NSW 2630
ph: (02) 6452 1866 Auto Parts Recyclers

give them a call im 99% sure this is it, the name is familiar and it was on the main rd to jindabyne.

NOPE. BOTH TOMATO & ROB ARE WRONG. THE LARGE WRECKERS AT COOMA IS "JAKES HOMES OF WRECKS" AT 20 KENT ST (JUST OFF THE SMOKEY MOUNTAIN HWY PAST McDONALDS/BP). I KNOW MYSELF BECAUSE I SCORED A UNI BIT THERE TWO YEARS AGO.
FLYNN'S IS A SMALLER YARD WITH ABOUT 50 CARS. JAKES HAS CLOSE TO 200 & A LOT OF THEM ARE 80S-90S MODEL TOYOTAS.
YOU CAN GET IN CONTACT WITH JAKE ON THIS NUMBER 0414 929 088. JAKE HAS A THICK ACCENT, I THINK HE'S SERB, WHICH MAKES HIM A BIT HARD TO UNDERSTAND, BUT ONCE YOU GET PAST THAT HE'S A DECENT BLOKE & HE'LL GIVE YOU A FAIR DEAL.

ohwhatafeeling i think you have your wrecking yards around the wrong way as flynns had somthing like 2 to 300 cars there last time i was there 6 months ago, and most of them have been there 10 or more years.

CAMBELT, PLEASE DON'T TELL ME I'VE GOT MY WRECKING YARDS MIXED UP. AS A COOMA LOCAL, I HAPPEN TO KNOW FOR A FACT THAT "JAKES" IS THE LARGEST WRECKING YARD IN THE AREA.
I SPOKE TO JAKE, OVER THE PHONE, JUST AT THE WEEKEND & HE TOLD ME HE HAS 250 CARS ON HIS BOOKS. JAKE ALSO INFORMED ME THAT COME APRIL THE NUMBER OF WRECKS IN HIS YARD WILL SWELL TO 400, AS A RESULT OF A SHIPMENT FROM QLD.
CAMBELT, I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU INSIST ON SAYING FLYNNS IS THE LARGEST YARD IN COOMA, WHEN ANY LOCAL COULD TELL YOU OTHERWISE. ARE YOU A REPRESENTATIVE OF FLYNNS? I'VE BEEN TOLD FLYNNS STAFF HAVE A HISTORY OF TRYING TO STEAL JAKES CUSTOMERS.
TOYMODS IS A PRIVATE MESSAGE BOARD AND NOT A TOOL TO DRUM UP FLYNNS BUSINESS. IF YOU CONTINUE TO USE IT AS SUCH & CHOOSE TO DISCREDIT OTHER POSTERS IN THE PROCESS, I WILL HAVE NO OPTION BUT TO REPORT YOU TO THE TOYMODS ADMIN.

Calm down "Oh What a Feeling", and turn the bloody caps lock off! Razz

Perhaps you have the "older models" these guys want confused -they're not 80s/90s toyotas but 60s/70s toyotas like old crowns, coronas and corona mk2s. These are not normally found in your everyday wreckers, regardless of size.

Assclown, Flynn's has around 4000 cars.

Report us. We are Flynn's mignons, working underhandedly to undermine Jake's home of shitboxes so that Flynn can corner the Cooma wrecking market. Rolling Eyes

Shut up cretin.

No... you are Flynn's Fillet Mignons!!! Laughing (sorry GT, just couldn't resist)

The Cooma wrecking wars commence! Which wrecking yard has the best selection of old toyota's? Is Flynn's the undisputed king of crowns? Or will Jakes be first with the mx13 windscreen wiper motors? Which of these mighty contenders will be triumphant, and who will go crawling back to the losers corner with a pile of mitsubishi colts and a lonely XF falcon for company?

Who Cares?????

Ring them and ask if they have the part. End of story.

THANKS ROB. I'VE ALSO REPORTED CAMBELT & TOMATO. HOPEFULLY BOTH ARE REMOVED FROM THIS BOARD BEFORE EITHER CAN CAUSE ANY FURTHER HARM. THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER BOARDS WHERE INFLAMMATORY BEHAVIOUR IS ACCEPTED & I SUGGEST CAMBELT & TOMATO FIND SOME OTHER PLACE TO POST, LEAVING THIS BOARD TO THOSE WHO WISH TO MAKE A MEANINGFUL CONTRIBUTION.

ohwhatafeeling - Cambelt and Gianttomato are both respected members of these forums who make many valuable contributions. You (on the other hand) appear to be here only to cause trouble, and are yet to make a meaningful contribution.

If you continue posting in this manner I have a feeling you will not be around much longer.

I think the question that was asked at the beginning of this thread has been appropriately answered, so let's just leave it at that shall we?

Yes that's right, in our technologically advanced society, you are still not protected from your own stupidity!

How apt.
