What car, front or back

Get a bit of this oil and compare to oil in the brake resiviuor, if the colour is the same then your leakin brake fliud. Or as puffy says cv boots maybe cracked/split.

If you have a diff, perhaps bearings or other are gone and leaking.

Well the oil is like a brown color and its pritty thick smells like gear box oil. its located front left wheel.

if the cv boots are spilt would it leak gear box oil?

no but it spits out grease everywhere

just feel the boot and if theres a crack in it with grease all round it theres your problem, normally there'll be grease in the wheel rim and all over the inner guard...

if it was brake fluid n the brake fruid hose was split you wouldnt have any brakes

to fix the boot you can either pull the cv out and re boot it pretty easy if u have some idea and a manual or you can buy reco'd cv shafts

does the car make a clicking sound at all when you turn corners if so thats a sign that theres grease missing out of the cv shaft and its not getting enought lubrication..

anyway good luck!
