Where to buy seats in Brisbane? Fri, 26 March 2004 09:29 Go to next message
I want to buy some half decent racing seats but cant find a place that sells them Sad
I know Repco and Autobarn sell them Autotecnicrap brand but they are of cheap quality.
So any ideas? Thanks

All jap wreckers have quite a few seats - (being a place not far from you..)

I'd try anywhere like that importers / wreckers will usually have good stocks...

my SAAS seats came from autobarn - paid a little over $500 ea as i wanted reclining seats.

worth mentioning: the colour of the material at shoulder heightthat gets lots of sun has started to fade after 18months of exposure.

otherwise, they very comfortable yet firm, cushion on drivers side is starting to squash down, reclner mechanism is still good.

expect to have lotsa fun installing them. the mount points on the seats will not match up with most rails so you have to make/buy two flat pieces of steel and drill/cut to suit the seat holes and the rail holes in each piece.

i used rails from a corona wagan (sorry, can't remember year) as the outside celica ones are integrated into the seat. was much less welding this way.
