if you want... and if you have the correct type of GZE that im interested in.... i would be able to swap you a complete working 4A-GE 100kW already converted to RWD.
Send me a PM dude if you are interested. This is a SERIOUS offer. A rwd 100kW 4A-GE with loom and ECU... would ROCKET in your KE20, but you would need to get engine mounts made up (pretty easy)

It's a loom i made up myself, for an AE71 (virtually same as AE86). This is not a factory RWD setup, its been converted from a FWD AE92 SX corolla.
its a 100kW motor, waaay powerful enough for the KE20 (sincce they weigh NOTHING). all the details of my conversion are in my thread here:
http://forums.toymods.org.au/index.php?t=msg&t h=19077&start=0&rid=883&S=0e5a009058c2 5df234547fe97d17e5f7
As for what i would swap you... that depends on what variant of the 4A-GZE motor you have! And also what bits are missing, condition of the motor etc etc.
Send me a PM and we'll discuss me coming to take a look at this motor.

not for an incomplete AFM type GZE.
When you can get a complete front cut of the same engine type for around $2k, i cant see the worth.
Sorry - but im only interested in the later model MAP sensor (or smallport) 4a-gze.

Ok mate, well i might still be interested then. All the same ill still have to check it out myself and see how it all is.
Do you have an ECU for it? You said the loom was chopped just short of the ecu, but are all the sensors still there? Do you have the GZE flywheel?
LIke i said, im willing to offer you a working 100kW 4a-ge if this motor is what im after.

and the other thing.... if it is indeed a MAP type 4a-gze, then neither the manifold in the pic NOR the RWD 4age manifold will fit on without massive leaks.

THE WITZL wrote on Mon, 29 March 2004 12:42 | can someone please explain these "semi-forged" pistons to me?
I dont understand how a forging process can be half done....
|
maybe they are forged then machined to size or something

... its a joke mate.... Stewart on these forums have proven beyond reasonable doubt that both types of GZE pistons are forged from toyota. There is about 3 threads on this topic, including electron microscope pics

The manifold is from a bigport n/a motor. bolted onto a smallport 4agze.
And yes you need an adapter plate to bolt a bigport manifold whether it be fwd or rwd to a smallport head.
