By my understanding the T13# strut is even easier to fit in place of RA23/28/40 strut than in TA22.

In this case I find it extremely improbable that you'll find an easier and more sound upgrade that Corona struts, four piston Hilux calipers, and vented discs to suit as discussed previously.

the cressida calipers and rotors DO NOT fit onto a RA40/early celica strut. For starters, the rotors sit in a different position such that they dont fit into the RA40 caliper, and then the cressida caliper wont fit onto your RA40 strut because of both caliper bolt spacing (100mm for MX62 and 90mm for MX73) and that the cressida caliper mounts in the OTHER side of the caliper mounting bracket from the RA40 caliper.

Trust me dude... i tried.

NOTHING is an easier upgrade than these following steps, in order of ease and cost....
# RT-132 struts calipers and rotors (twin pot), XT-130 is only single pot
# Pug 604? vented discs with the RT-132 calipers
# Hilux 4-pot calipers

OR: you could use:

RT132 Struts,

RA60 Discs, and

MX62 Calipers.

Requires that the strut caliper mounting holes be re drilled, and a small spacer used at each caliper bolt hole.

Done it 3 times works a treat, Ideal conversion for those on a budget.

regards Chuck.

What are the MX62 calipers like? How many pistons, what size pads? What size are the RA60 discs? Vented standard?
