I kno that Toymods is full of computer experts of some sort.
Can someone give me a precise definition of DVD-RAm, from what I see it is just like DVD-RW, a 4.7gig rewrittable disc?
I think it does not need to be erased though, it can be written over straight away??? Not sure.

DVD-RAM is an expensive cartridge-based DVD writable media.
need for formatting depends on OS/sotware - on any mac (OS X) you just shove a disk in there, copy stuff to the drive and and choose burn when ejecting or at your leasure.
cheaper to get read +/-RW burner and media to suit.
DVD-RAM is single layer media
