in accordance with the topic have:

one 100kw 4AGE

one broken bolt that used to hold the bent piece of pipe onto the inlet manifold, the other end being bolted to the engine block.

i assume this is some sort of brace to stop the manifold snapping off at the runners? more likely some anti vibration thing.

in any case i have now taken it off (the engine )

should i bother removing the bolt and puting the brace back on?

or just leave it off and write it down as weight reduction.

the engine isn't in my car, so access to bits are no problem.

I recommend putting the brace back on, my first car didn't have the brace & eventually cracked the inlet around where it bolts onto the head, very unfun. And that was a RWD manifold too.
