the head is as lifted off of a good condition complete AE101 20v.

there is no corrosion, the internals are pretty clean for the age of the engine (no gunk or such in the top end),minimal carbon deposits.

the head comes with all covers, the cam gear, head bolts and such.
there are no manifolds or throttles.

I don't actually own a digital camera, but will see what I can do.

if you're in Sydney, you could always come and take a look at it... would be MUCH easier.

Re: AE86 + other parts for sale Sun, 04 April 2004 09:47 Go to previous messageGo to next message
you could redrill the discs to the four stud 114.3mm PCD,swap your wheel studs for longer items, and then slip them on if you wanted to.

mind that you'd still need to buy a pair of appropriate callipers to go over the discs, and get appropriate mounting brackets up to install them.

I can sell you the discs, and put you in touch with a guy who has a spare pair of S14 callipers. the rest is up to you.

the mazda callipers I'm also selling are easier to fit to a sprinter than nissan brakes, and are also considerably lighter.
S14 callipers are about 6kg each alone.

that'll depend on whether or not the bloke who's currently slated to buy the head wants the dizzy as well or not.
the sale is supposed to go through tonight.

if he doesn't want the dizzy,I'll post here saying it's available. make me an offer on it then.

What are the details for fitting the RX7 brakes to a Sprinter? 280mmx20 discs i guess, but what about the mounting bracket.

Re: AE86 + other parts for sale Fri, 09 April 2004 01:04 Go to previous messageGo to next message
the details are the same as any other brake conversion for a sprinter.
you need custom mounting brackets made up,with an offset to suit either a redrilled rx7 disc,a peugeot disc,or a custom two piece unit, depending on how you want to mount the calliper, either in front of the hub with the disc floating,or behind the hub with the disc redrilled to suit the hub's bolt pattern.

there are kits available off the shelf in japan to mount these and nissan callipers to sprinter struts. check out places like revolver,J blood and hot staff.

now,if you want to buy the callipers, let me know. this is a for sale ad after all,not a technical forum.

Re: AE86 + other parts for sale Fri, 09 April 2004 01:22 Go to previous messageGo to next message
no worries. afaik, the hilux callipers botl onto celica struts, not sprinter struts as the mounting pitch is different.

you might also want to consider the weight difference,as hilux callipers are cast iron. RX7 callipers are aluminium. there's about 8kg of difference between a pair of each.
when you then add a large cast iron disc to that, you're adding quite a significant amount to your unsprung weight.

the rx7 callipers may cost more, both to buy and fit up,but the end result is a lot better. up to you dude.
